Here are Some Logging Features
Following are several main features of the
Logging, you will find full details of these features throughout the context
sensitive online help. In addition to
the features listed below, the Logging Module has all the features such as: Find, Maintain, Access Security, Comment
Fields etc. Many fields have lookup
buttons with a search facility so that the field data is found with only a few
keystrokes. All the reports can be
displayed to the screen, printed or exported to FAX, word processor,
spreadsheet etc.

Contractors
Your Contractor codes can be up to 8
characters and all contractor information is recorded and available to the
Creditors module. The Dataline
Accounting For Windows System includes a full Australian postcode table with
lookup and maintenance facilities.

Machines
Machine codes can be up to 8 characters and
each machine is allocated to a Contractor and marked as available for any combination
of Fell, Snig, Bark, Load and Haul operations.
Machines for any of these operations may of course be people.

Mills
Mill codes can be up to 6 characters and
mill information such as location is maintained for each mill.

Areas
Area (Compartment) codes can be up to 12
characters and information such as the owner and timber type is maintained for
each area (compartment).

Volume Tables
The Volume Table code can be up to 3
characters and each table contains up to 45 diameter breaks and volume
calculation entries as supplied by the NSW Forestry Commission.

Species
The Specie code can be up to 3 characters
and each table contains information on specie type (Hardwood or Pine),
reporting group, volume table (for pine) and waste diameter for waste
reporting.

Qualities
The Log Quality code can be up to 9 characters
and any number of codes can be defined that relate to a Forestry Commission
Quality Code. This allows for improved
reporting and expanded contractor payment options. The Quality also allows for minimum and
maximum length and diameter settings to warn when data entry is outside of the
normal values.

Royalty Tables
The Royalty Table code can be up to 3 characters
and has 18 diameter breaks as used by the NSW Forestry Commission. The Royalty Tables are used for both
royalties and for contractor payments and any number of tables can be created. The tables are linked to areas (compartments)
and species in Maintain Area Royalties and to machines, areas (compartments),
species and qualities in Maintain Contractor rates.

Area Royalties
Royalty tables are recorded for each specie
in each area (compartment) in this module.

Contractor Rates
Royalty (Contractor Rate) tables are
recorded for each quality code for each specie in each area (compartment) for
each contractor machine in this module. This
arrangement means that contractor payments can be based on up to 18 diameter
sizes for each specie and quality in an area on a machine basis.

Mill to Mill Haulage Rates
The haulage rate between mills is recorded
in this module.

Log Receipts
Log Receipts provides for the entry of
delivery docket information together with felling, snigging, barking and
loading machine information. The
receipting calculates the log volumes and provides a total volume for checking
the delivery docket. The docket can be
edited until the tally is posted so that the adjusted length can be altered. All royalties and contractor payments are
made on the adjusted length which initially defaults to the recorded length.

Log Consumption
Log consumption converts logs from available
to consumed or wasted. The module also
allows the reverse of this process. A
reference field is available for the user to record the batch, lathe or saw
details.

Log Transfers
Log transfers allows logs to be transferred
from one mill’s stock to another and provides for payment to the hauling
contractor.

Log Splits
Log splits allows logs to be cut into
shorter logs with new mill log numbers.

Stocktake
Stocktake allows the input of all mill log
numbers and an exception list is generated.
All exceptions are automatically corrected.

The log report gives details of available,
consumed, transferred logs selected by log number range, delivery date range,
consumption date range, reference range, length range, diameter range, volume
range, cost range, mill range, area range, specie range and quality range. The criteria can be in any combination and
both summary and detail reports are available.

The forestry commission log book gives
details of logs that have been received.

reports are available.
EOM / Forestry Commission Tally File
The EOM /forestry commission tally file
allows the selection of clearing MTD and YTD figures creating the tally file
and posting invoices to the creditors module and the deletion of consumed logs.
