Integration
SpeeDEV includes four separate feature-rich industry strength applications (in SpeeDEV terminology, 'Modules': speedREQ, speedISSUE, speedTASK, speedPROCESS,) each of which can compete in power, flexibility, and ease of use, with any similar stand-alone software. But the real benefit comes in tight, seamless integration and smart interaction among them. The consistent user interface allows easy switch from one module to another. There is no commercial software on the market that has the level of integration with the power of each module, as in SpeeDEV.

Process Management
'Collaboration without Process is Chaos' and 'Process without Automation is unrealistic'. These are the two maxims software development companies have experienced again and again. SpeeDEV provides an extremely powerful Process Definition and Management framework. speedPROCESS is generic enough to handle almost all kinds of process nuances and at the same time specialized for software development. This 'Role and Rule' based Process Management allows the user to automate their most complex processes and then sit back and let the system run the process.

Once the configuration is done, all the participants in the project work as peers within the defined rules. This allows the workflow to move as a result of the collaborative effort of all users, without constant supervision by the Project Manager.

You need not create the list of tasks and assign them to different people. The tasks are automatically created from the Process Elements (Requirements and Issues), and assigned based on your rules.

Customisation
SpeeDEV allows customisation of almost all of its functional aspects. The customisation includes adding custom enumerated data type, conditional custom fields with complete access control, customizing all list values.

Access Control
SpeeDEV offers a most flexible access control mechanism, in terms of Access Group definitions and users belonging to multiple Groups. Not only does Groups allow the users to have read/ write control on different types of information, it also controls whether a user will be able to access Requirements and Issues submitted by others.

Hide Requirements/ Issues submitted by one group from another

Create Groups with management rights based on different criteria. e.g. a user in Module Manager group will have all Project Management rights for a particular Module only. This again distributes the responsibility of management to several persons.
